The Catholic University of America

Welcome New Students!

Dear New Students,

This is a very exciting time for you and your family. The next couple of months will go by very quickly and soon you will be taking your place as a student at Catholic University. You will find that CUA has a lot to offer you — a variety of student organizations and service projects, spiritual engagement, internship opportunities in Washington, D.C., and outstanding faculty who are ready to engage you in new ideas.

At Catholic University you will develop yourself, shaping your intellect and learning to accept the challenges of a committed citizen who serves others. We hope that you will challenge yourself and lead others, taking responsibility for your CUA experience and making it everything you have dreamed. CUA faculty and administration are here to assist you in achieving and reaching beyond your goals. All of this starts with Orientation.

Orientation begins on Aug. 21, 2014. Parent sessions begin on Aug. 21 and end the evening of Aug. 24, 2014.

Registration for students and their guests is available in Cardinal Station. Please register before Aug. 8, 2014.

An additional orientation session will be offered for international students on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014.

Over the course of the next several months you will receive information from Orientation and other university offices. Please review each item carefully for deadlines. The Catholic University of America is preparing for your arrival and we are ready to address your questions and assist with your transition. Please feel free to contact Orientation at 202-319-5627. On behalf of the Orientation staff, I welcome you. We are committed to supporting you and helping you make the transition to life at CUA and in Washington, D.C.

We look forward to seeing you in August!

Sincerely,

Katie Jennings
Senior Associate Dean of Students and Director of Campus Activities
