Dear First-Year Students,
The summer before your first year at college is one of the most exciting. Making the transition to college can be difficult but adequately preparing the summer before your first year can ease your apprehension.
This volume of “CU Will Shine” provides you with information on how to make the most of the summer. From making the most of the time you have with your friends and family to beginning to think about living and working at CUA and what to do in D.C.; this edition will answer a lot of your questions. It will also provide you with advice for difficult situations you may face this summer while saying goodbye to your friends.
Even though you might find yourself wondering about how you will make the adjustment from seeing your friends as often as you want to only seeing them over breaks or for weekends, rest assured that it is easier to keep in touch than you might think. This is the beginning of the most exciting time in your life. Spend this time with your friends, and get ready to make a whole new set of friends as you start your journey at CUA!
Happy 4th of July!
